Machin porcelain coffee can with loop handle, printed & painted with a Chinoiserie Family scene (pattern 100) picked out in colours, within shaped frames on a pink scale ground.

Machin & Co operated in Burslem, Staffordshire, 1812-22, and made a wide variety of porcelains – often confused with Newhall.
Thom & Miller in their book ‘Machin’ include this pattern #100 and a variation at #140.
