The attribution to Machin & Potts is due to both shape & decoration; Shape is represented in a porcelain body (ref. ‘Machin’ p76-77) with the printed Machin mark, while the printed decoration is to be found on the following page, on a different shape earthenware jug – which shares the same pink lustre border.
