German stoneware drinking mug, with roughly potted body, small loop handle to a  short neck, the foot ‘thumbed’, with glossy brown salt glaze.

15.5cm high, base 8.5cm wide

Provenance: old US collection, noted as excavated in London; some dirt still remaining inside!

Condition: large section of the rim replaced, otherwise good.
