Meissen cup & saucer, well painted with landscape panels within ornate gilt cartouches, the cup with merchants by the quayside, the saucer with travellers by a river, the white ground with scattered Deutschblumen sprigs, the rim with a gilt foliate border. Crossed swords in blue, also gilt half-moon, with impressed ’11’ to cup, ’67’ to saucer. Circa 1745
