Meissen saucer with harbour scene, elaborate cartouche & Böttger lustre, c. 1735
Meissen saucer well painted with a harbour scene of merchants by a quay, ships & cities in the distance, within an elaborate cartouche of iron red, purple & Böttger lustre, the rim with fine gilt scrolling border, the reverse with three indischenblumen sprays.
Crossed swords mark, also gilt ’64’,
retouch to gilt rim, otherwise excellent
