Meissen teabowl & saucer, well painted with deutsche blumen flowers, within a black line rim.
Blue crossed swords mark, circa 1740.
saucer 13cm, teabowl 7.5cm wide
Condition: Minor loss to black rim, yellow flower inside cup. The mark on the rim is an original firing fault.
The black line rim is unusual (they’re nearly always gold!); the decoration is particularly well done & in good condition, with the exception of the yellow flower inside the cup; this yellow was a ‘problem colour’ prone to flaking.
