Pair of Minton vases, the baluster shape with ring turned shoulders and straight necks, decorated with turquoise ‘Persian’ glaze on a parian body.

Provenance: Minton Museum Collection, dispersed in the sell-up of the archives in the late 1990’s.
These are apparently trial pieces using the simple shapes derived from the oriental which were ideal for displaying the richness of
the vibrant turquoise glaze. A number of designs by
Christopher Dresser utilised these shapes and glazes.
