References

ref. Guillebon 'Faience et Porcelain de Paris' p127 for similar swags on a Clignacourt piece from c. 1780. Clignancourt was founded in 1775, and made fine quality hard-paste porcelains until the mid-1790's. Also known as 'Porcelaine de Monsieur', as it came under the patronage of Monsieur, the king's brother and the future Louis XVIII.
