Pair of Derby figures, No. 76 ‘Renaldo & Armida’ , and No. 75 ‘Procris & Cephalus ’, each showing their respective story in dramatic fashion, Procris pulling the arrow he has accidentally fired into his wife, and Armida placing a garland of flowers over the handsome crusader she cannot bring herself to curse, each on a grassy base with tall leafy bocage. Inscribed ‘N75’ & ‘N76’ , circa 1775
