Unusual pair of Chinoiserie ‘Corona Ware’ vases, by S.Hancock & Sons, the elegant tall-neck form printed in brown with added colour enamels with an all-over scroll ground inset with a panel of Chinese figures on gardens, a brown line to the rim.
Large printed mark ‘CORONA WARE / “CH’IEN-LUNG” / REPRODUCTION / PERIOD 1736-1795’ within a crane-shaped reserve, ‘S.HANCOCK & SONS / STOKE-ON-TRENT’ beneath, also ‘328’.
Circa 1912-25
