Large pair of Old Sheffield candlesticks, by Mathew Boulton, with wide columns tapered to the top, supporting elegant urn-shaped sconces with ribbed body, the broad base with similar ribbing, acanthus leaf moulding to the columns & flowerhead moulting to all horizontal rims.
Marked with double the sun-marks of Mathew Boulton, Sheffield

Condition: Good, display great and very solid. The silver is in good ‘Old Sheffield Plate’ condition, with some minor ‘blush’ of copper showing through on raised areas, not noticeable.
