Handsome pair of Meissen sweetmeat figures, modelled after a Kaendler original of the 1750’s, with a lady & gent reclining on elaborate rococo scroll plinths, an open vessel in front, each with lavish clothing details and natural skin toning, the vessels with flower & bug painting, the outer walls with flower encrustations.
Crossed swords mark, also impressed model numbers,
circa 1880.
Size: each aprox. 18x13cm, standing 12.5cm high
Condition: Some small repairs well done, including chip to his base (at front), her protruding big toe, her fingers on right hand, some small losses to encrusted flowers, otherwise good. Displays well.
