References

These are a rare pair of 18th century white pieces that were never decorated, probably discarded due to the speckles in the glaze, and sold off in the early 19th century when the marks were added to define them as ‘Sevres’. They also added the crown to show hard-paste, although they are actually soft-paste! Ex- Rosenberg Collection #813
