Paris porcelain plate, the rim superbly painted with an Armorial combining two family arms, above motto ‘CONSTANTIA ET VIGILANTIA’ (steadfast & watchfull), the rim with a pink ground meander suspending finely detailed flower sprigs.

Boyer was decorating Paris Porcelain at his address in Reu de la Paix in the 1840’s-50’s. He partnered, then succeeded the Feuillet workshop, and is known for supremely fine and beautiful painting, including armorials. Many of these are English commissions.
