Paris Scenic service, 6pc with superb painted street scenes, by Feuillet c.1830

Superb set of six Paris Porcelain scenic plates, in the Sevres manner, each with a large scene painted to the base, each titled to the reverse, bordered within a wreath of flowers, the rims with panels of flowers within raised gold flower group frames, set on an apple green ground.

Each marked in blue ‘Feuillet’ , along with the title to the scene including:

The Louvre
Colonnade in the Louvre gardens
Palais Royal
The Pantheon
Porte Saint-Denis
Marseilles

Circa 1830

each 23cm

These plates are examples of Paris Porcelain at its best. Jean-Pierre Feuillet learnt to paint at Chantilly, opening his own decorating studio at 20 Rue de la Paix, Paris, in 1816.
