Large pearlware arbor group, ‘Perswaision’, showing a stylish couple seated on a garden seat, on a grassy base with a bocage hedge behind, enamelled in bright colours and with touches of copper lustre.
Circa 1815-25.

restoration to one rear corner, his hat, rim of her hat, flower & leaves in pot; her head restuck; losses to bocage, lacking dog.

The base has originally had feet, but these were removed when one became detached in the kiln – this is evident in the green enamels which have run over the space where it should have been. Examples exist with both short legs and no legs.
