The Quality of the potting, the deep blue cobalt, and the style of the painting all compares favourably with Liverpool Pearlware products. There were many potteries in Liverpool in the 18th century, and some of these proceeded to make porcelain as well – and this Chinese-inspired pattern appears on various Liverpool porcelain makers wares, almost identical.
