The popular Pratt potlids were literally ‘disposable’ containers with a novelty decoration to the outside. They became a ‘collectable’ due to these interesting & varied scenes. The first exhibition took place in 1897! This example with the explanatory inscription is the continuation of the manufacturing of the pots, along with the printing of the designs, into the 20th century.
