Pair of Bow figures of children as fisherfolk, after a Meissen model by Kaendler C. 1748, modelled as a girl and boy with a catch of fish, he with a bright blue jacket and overturning a large basket, she with a pink dress and a basket by her side, holding two large fish in her apron, each on a square plinth base scattered with colourful seashells.

ref. Adams- Meissen Figures #321 for the original Kaendler Meissen models from 1748; Bradshaw – Bow Porcelain Figures B65 & p108 for a Bow example, although mis-described and misattributed to Eberlein.

These early Bow figures with simple square plinth bases are rare.
