Regency Rosewood jewellery box, with finely figured wood & brass stringing, the winged lions-head feet in brass, the interior lined in green velvet with leather-clad wooden tray.
Circa 1835
31x22cm, 19cm high
Slight warp to lid, very usable
-the wallpaper is beneath the green velvet, and is a woodblock print from the early Victorian period / probably from when it was new. The green velvet & fitted tray are probably a later Victorian adaptation, giving a very nice luxury feel.
