References | The Kremlin Service was commissioned by Csar Nicholas I for the re-furbished Kremlin in 1837-8, and made at the Imperial Factory. The design is taken from a Kremlin treasure, the coronation plate for Czar Alexei Mikhailovich (1645-76), and the original is still held in the Kremlin. |
