Satsuma Kyoto vase with scenic panels, pierced sides, c.1880
Impressive Kyoto Satsuma vase with flat faces painted after Japanese woodblock prints, one side with figures in the rain, the other with a samurai warrior on horseback on a moonlit night, the sides with wide pierced panel of cranes amongst clouds.
Marked with inscription either side of foot,
including “Dai Nippon Kyoto”

According to Gotheborg.com. "Satsuma Gosu Blue was produced in very limited quantity in Kyoto in the mid-19th century, and is now the most sought after of the Satsuma wares." THis has several sections of the distinct blue.
