Large Sawankhalok (Thai) stoneware box, the globular form on short ring foot with brown glaze, the body painted in murky cobalt with panels and foliate scrolls, the lid with central stupa-type knop with brown glaze.

Provenance: from an old Australian Collection, put together in SE Asia in the 1970’s-80’s

13cm wide, 11cm high

Good condition, restuck break to lid only, glaze excellent, displays well.
