Shell Shape dish in ‘Famille Rose’ style, English 19th century

Interesting shell-shape serving dish, decorated in the Chinese Export manner with a famille rose pattern of flower basket & scattered blooms within a pink-scale border with flower panel reserves, gilt lines to rim & handle.
Unmarked,
earlier 19th century

24x24cm

Very good condition with some minor stacking wear to the enamels.

An interesting ‘hybrid hardpaste’ type body, quite different to the Chinese original, with a slight greenish translucency & blue added to the glaze. Date suggested is the 1830-40 period, with a number of factories possible as an attribution.
