Rare silver handled knife & 3-tang fork, the cannon-form handles with incised rings and central quilted panel, the cap with a target, the knife with scimitar shape blade, inscribed with cutler’s name ‘SPOON’.

ref. Peter Brown ‘British Cutlery’ p 100 for this form of scimitar blade (single sweep to the upper face) – a style that lasted 1690-1730. The cannon handle form is typical of the later 17th century.
