Unusual Spode porcelain ink well, of drum shape with integral stand with protruding lug handle, the deep blue ground reserving raised flower decoration, including sprays of bamboo to the body, all richly gilt, with central ink reserve and three cylindrical pen holders attached to the outside. Marked SPODE , pattern 3153, c.1820.
