Spode pottery potpourri / violetteer, the clay a pale ochre with clear glaze, a white slip to rim with printed fruiting vine frieze detailed in green, with further green borders to lip and foot, the rim with twin handles, the pierced lid with button knop.

Sometimes called potpourri, they are also referred to as a ‘violeteer’ – the base filled with water, each hole then supporting a violet flower.
