Staffordshire double quill holder, ornate snake / nest / tree, c. 1845
Staffordshire double quill holder, the ornate model with a tree concealing a nest with eggs, a green snake emerging to steal the eggs & a blue-winged bird defending from above, with two large flowers and yellow/orange applied sieved clay throughout.
