Staffordshire pottery figure group, with small figures of a girl dancing on a bridge, a man playing a lute to one side, an arch of tree trunks above, with a swan swimming on the swiftly running river below, the whole decorated with patches of blue sieved clay ‘moss’.

The subject is surely a musical one, perhaps involving gypsies….?
