Fine quality Royal Commemorative spoon, Sterling Silver with a rich gold wash, finely decorated with the Prince-of-Wales feathers to the end, the stem a series of Baroque roundels, the bowl with a heraldic Griffin crest representing Wales.
Made for the coronation of George V in 1911.

This spoon commemorates George V as Prince of Wales, bearing the feathers to the end and the dragon of Wales to the bowl. Edward VII died in 1910; George V was crowned in June 1911.
