A Hope Service plate, by Flight Worcester, commissioned by the Duke of Clarence in 1789, the centre painted by Pennington with a depiction of ‘Hope’ with her anchor, a ship sailing into the distance, within a rich gilt border, the rim with a deep blue embellished with stars and rosettes. Underglaze blue ‘Flight’ mark, with a crown & crescent, Circa 1790
