References | Thomas Allen was a well respected ceramic decorator/artist, who joined Wedgwood in 1875 after a time at Minton. There were four parts to the Banquet series, and each meat type is indicated in the border panels. An interesting Australian connection is the record of Banquet series pieces being used as the first-class dining wares for the North Head Quarantine Station in Sydney. |
