Wedgwood stoneware teapot with a smear-glazed cane ware body, ornately scroll moulded with a small reclining spaniel as the knop.

ref. Reilly ‘New Illustrated Dict. of Wedgwood’ 1995,  p318 for the type. These teapots were in the 1817 pattern book, but were popular for several decades. They were made in a number of different bodies & glazes.
