Worcester polychrome waste bowl, ‘Family’ pattern, c.1775

Sold

Handsome Dr Wall Worcester waste bowl, printed & painted with the ‘Family’ pattern of various figures & furniture, the interior with a broad band of underglaze blue lambrequin border, the centre with an unusual musician & dancer scene.

Circa 1775

15.5cm wide, 7.5cm high

Some wear to the interior print, otherwise in excellent condition.

There were standard groups of prints to the teawares of this pattern, with a cup & saucer having 2 groups, a teapot just 2 – but a bowl had a lot more surface to cover, and so on this fine example we find 3 groups around the outer, another inside – terrific value!
