Art Deco Pewter tea set, bakelite handles, late 1930’s
$95.00 AUD
Art Deco pewter tea set, comprising of teapot with bakelite handle and knob, sugar and creamer with hand beaten finish
Impressed mark, Knighthood leadless pewter, made in England
Circa 1936
Teapot 25cm W
signs of use, old watertight soldied restoration
While this mark was in use from 1936 until the 1950’s, the style dates it to the 1930’s; during the war factories such as this converted to make war-effort pieces, and it is unlikely they made this type after 1945 – so late 1930’s is the most likely date.
