Berlin porcelain small figure of a boy, shown bleeding a quail into a dish, representing a Butcher from a ‘Cupid in Disguise’ series. Blue sceptre mark, also incised ‘Z’, circa 1830.

The 'Cupid in Disguise' figures were popular with many European porcelain makers, and included the trades and professions - the butcher is an unusually graphic one!
