Chinese Cantonese enamel small wine cup of square form, well-painted with a continuous scene of scholars among rocks & pines, a poem between the two principal scenes reading

“Bright Moon

In the Forrest

Clear Stone in the Brook

Shines”,

a yellow band to foot, the interior left white.

Qing Dynasty,

18th – early 19th century

Good condition, with exterior very good, some minor surface crazing, displays well.
