Chinese Cantonese lidded box, the cylindrical form well painted in bright enamels & gold with a ‘Rose Medallion’ pattern of figures in interiors, alternating with panels of birds, butterflies & flowers, all on a gold ground with scrolling green foliage.

lid has been restored, interior rim chipped .
