Rare Pearlware flask of circular form, with an inscription beneath green & red painted strawberry plants, reading “Mr Phillip Randel / Ilichumpton “, with copper lustre rim and edging to each side.

Wichampton is village in West Dorset, in the Parish of Piddlehinton. In the Piddlehinton Parish records, there is a marriage recorded between Phillip Randal and Elizabeth Churchill in 1772. However, Elizabeth must have passed away within a few years (perhaps childbirth was responsible?) as Phillip is back in church, marrying Mary Critchell in 1778.
