Derby plate from an important dessert service, finely painted by George Complin with fruit and flowers within a border of autumn foliage, the lobed rim with a yellow edge.

Slight wear to enamels, small rim chip, some touch-ups evident to gold, very presentable.

This service was previously owned by the Fifth Duke of Westminster (Eaton Hall) , Cheshire.
Complin was a Frenchman employed at Derby in the late 18th century, noted for his fine fruit painting.
