Early Staffordshire figure of a street vendor, depicted as a boy in pink coat holding a large basket filled to the brim with pastries or sweetmeats, including heart-shape, circular, and a dozen small brown squares in a box (like modern chocolate!), standing on a mound base with sieved clay ‘moss’ and brown/green colouring, set on a low square plinth base with simple brown line to all sides.
