Egyptian pottery pre-dynastic vessel, the thick-walled globular form with rounded base & slightly flared lip, one side with faint traces of a design in black ( a snake?).

Condition: some areas of loss to rim, otherwise excellent condition. Has attached lime/mineral deposits, not entirely cleaned off.
Provenance: old collection, Sydney, formed between the wars (1920’s)
