Rare English treen box, with fantastic burl grain and lined with tortoiseshell, the lid set with a rare English Enamel plaque printed & painted with a classical maiden with a cup, an eagle to one side, representing ‘Hebe feeding Jupiter’s Eagle’.
Circa 1780.
Plaque has section of hair restored, owtherwise good, slight warp to wood.
