Rare English porcelain ‘posy holder’, the v-form with flowery initials ‘KS’ to one side, the other with ‘lilly-of-the-valley’ posy tied with a pink ribbon inscribed ‘Oct 13th 1847’ , a band of raised gilt flowers midway with gilt acanthus leaf the base and a dentil border to the rim, a small hole to one side for a posy locking pin to be inserted.
Possibly Minton,
dated 1847

A most unusual item rarely seen, probably made to use at a wedding on October 13th, 1847. The quality of the decoration and the bone china body suggest a maker such as Minton made this special piece.
