Rare set of Georgian (+early Victorian) Sterling Silver bladed ivory-handled fruit cutlery, comprising 6 knives & 6 forks, the handles with elegant anthemion carving to the ends.
Hallmarked with combined Sheffield crown/’V’ cypher for 1819, 3 pieces ‘F’ dating to 1849,
the 1819 group with ‘HA’ for Henry Atkin, Sheffield;
the 1849 group with ‘AH’ for Aaron Hadfield of Pepper Alley, Sheffield.
Knife: 19.5cm
Condition: Good condition with signs of age; some wear to silver edges; handles with the occasional stained crack to 3, generally very good display condition.
