Indian Bronze Dhokra toy camel & rider, modelled standing 4-square on iron axles with wide ‘spoked’ cast bronze wheels, with saddle fittings & bridle clearly shown, mounted by a ferocious turban-clad warrior with curved tulwa blade.

Condition: Good display condition, signs of age with some rust to iron, wear to bronze.

While we call these ‘toys’, and some made their way to the West as exactly that, they probably were intended as religious items rather than children’s playthings.
