Condition: tip of bamboo staff lost and chip to top, a few small chips to base.
Edgar George Papworth snr was a renowned English sculptor, from an influential family of architects, builders and artists. As a student and exhibitor at the Royal Academy of Arts, many of his marble artworks were licensed and reproduced by Copeland porcelain for sale to the public, at a fraction of the price of the original marbles.
