Meissen small punch bowl, the gently lobed form moulded with the ‘old ozier’ basket weave border, the lower portion boldly painted with a large-scale version of the Kakiemon-inspired Schmetterling, or ‘Butterfly’ pattern, including two butterflies and a large bunch of flowers tied with a yellow bow.
Underglaze crossed swords mark,
incised ‘3’ near footrim,
Circa 1740
