Meissen tea canister & gilt metal cover, the body moulded in the ‘New Brandenstein’ pattern of spiral fluting and basketweave edge, well painted with a series of flower sprays, the neck set with a gilt copper slightly domed tight-fitting lid.
Faint crossed swords mark to the unglazed base,
Circa 1765
12.5cm high, 5×7.5cm
good condition, the lid an old replacement, possibly 18th century work.
