Pair of English Art Pottery cream glaze small twisted vases, Dresser influence, c. 1895
$125.00 AUD
Pair of unusual small English Art Pottery vases, the square form twisted toward the tops, with short flared rims, showing Dr Christopher Dresser influence.
Unmarked, circa 1895
10.5cm high
Good condition with minor signs of age
Dresser designed a series of ceramic vases with a twist to the top, notably the examples made at Ault in 1893 which bear his facsimile signature. These are a simplified and smaller version, and have a square profile rather than the round of the Ault examples.
